If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to dance bachata, you might be wondering how difficult it is to pick up. Of course, the choreography in this video is made for advanced bachata dancers, but the basic steps can be quite easy to pick up. In fact, it is one of the easier Latin dances to learn. This is because it is easy to count the beats compared to other dances like salsa. With bachata, there are no missed beats, and you simply count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. So if you can do that, then you can learn it!

Best of all, even though it is pretty simple to pick up, it is still a fun, sensual, and impressive-looking dance, even at the beginning of your bachata journey. Of course, if you keep going with it, you can end up looking just as good as Anna and the other dancers in this video, but even when you first start out, you’ll end up feeling that good at least!

And it can help you to gain more confidence dancing with a partner. Bachata forces you to be intimate just because of the nature of the dance style. So if dancing with another person is something you normally find quite awkward, learning bachata can help you to gain the confidence you need to be able to just get in there and have fun. Or if you’re in a couple, you can go to bachata classes together to really help to boost your intimacy.
