This is a fantastic and unique class – love it! I’ve primarily worked professionally as an actor, with some dance training, and I found class really accessible and informative. I definitely wrote down exercises after class to use in future devising processes. The structure of the class makes improvisation accessible, and yet there is still this exciting feeling of risk and bravery because you don’t know exactly what is going to happen during a given exercise. Great for dancers of all styles I think, for people who teach dance/movement classes for adults or kids and would like to learn new exercises, or for devised theater makers.

Feeling the need to explore, question, let loose, dig deeper, and address habits in your dancing? Take class with The Lovelies!! Class, usually lead by one or two of the five Lovelies, guides movers from warming, into working, into noticing, and into composing. The room is open to people of all ages, abilities, shapes, and sizes. The Lovelies’ class is also insight to how they work and rehearse. Try it out! Treat yourself to a bi-monthly practice. You won’t regret it!
