Focus on your body lines

Body lines attract attention to the most important parts of the body and help the audience focus on the movement. In fact you can probably already see how dancers from out today’s video lure your imagination into their world while perform their piece using purposefully slow and graceful movements.

Their bodies are lit beautifully by their costumes and perfect lighting and they create amazing shapes and curves with their arms and legs. So if you want to make your body lines attractive first of all make sure they are actually visible and choose the appropriate outfit.

Body lines are also about the power of your muscles and posture. To form beautiful shapes you need to position your body properly, so elongate your spine and keep your head high. When it comes to your arms use them to emphasize the movement and create beautiful shapes in the air. Finally, the most important part of your body is your face, which leads us to my next point.

Build confidence and self-worth

Confidence is key to looking attractive when you are performing any type of dance. If you don’t believe in yourself and your abilities then people will see right through you and they won’t enjoy watching your performance. Focus on improving your confidence so that people will watch your every move with amazement and wonder.

But what does it even mean to look confident? Well, a relaxed gentle smile on your face with a straight posture can instantly make your entire appearance more polished. Don’t be serious or tense, the dance needs to look effortless and natural so you need stay loose and calm during the performance. In addition make sure to connect and communicate with your audience through eye contact.

However the key to confidence is your self-worth. Only when you truly know how amazing you actually are can you really shine on stage and give your best show. Let go of all the insecurities that hold you back and embrace your strengths that make you unique.

If you don’t know yet about your strengths or don’t feel that you are special the way you are regardless of what others think of you – make it your goal to discover it out about yourself. Because you already are special regardless of whether you know it or not. The only difference is that when you know it you are able to experience the true joy and beauty of life! Once you truly love and accept yourself then you will radiate confidence and kindness towards others.

Improve your technique

Improve your movement and dance vocabulary by learning new patterns and combining different moves together to come up with some exciting and creative routines. This is very important because you need to make sure you have the right movements to match the music so that it flows smoothly and does not feel choppy or disconnected. This will help you connect with the audience and make your dance even more entertaining and fun.

Start taking dance classes if you haven’t already done so. Dance classes are a great way of learning new movements and technique and will definitely improve your skills. There are different types of dance classes and each one focuses on a different style of dancing such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and many more. So no matter what type of dance you are interested in you will be able to find a class that is just right for your interests and abilities.

Depending on your personal goals and learning style, you can choose between group or private dance lessons. Group classes are more fun and social since you get a chance to interact with other students and form friendships. On the other hand, private classes are more structured and personalized and cater to your individual needs.

Regardless of your choice any dance lessons will improve your technique and help you build your dance vocabulary which will take your dancing to the next level. Remember, practice is the key to success when it comes to improving any of the skills.
