Good day to you our dear dance enthusiasts! This time we are bringing to you the wonderful solo belly dance improvisation video from El Fen with a beautiful ocean or most likely sea view. However it doesn’t really matter, because I guarantee that you won’t be noticing the background this time. All your attention will be going to the foreground and the intricate hip drops and slides. So enjoy the show and I’ll see you on the other side.
How was it? I don’t know about you, but I was not able to stop watching this one. Even though it’s kind of long for a dance video – going over 5 minutes is quite rare, I still wanted to watch it over again. Great skill and a very professional improvisation by El Fen from Cyprus. She started belly dancing when she was 16 and you can easily tell that how much she loves dancing. By the way, check out this article on the best belly dance hip scarves if you’re thinking about taking belly dance classes or getting your costume ready for a stage performance.
Actually, have you every thought about starting to dance? You know it’s quite interesting that many people all over the world wanted to start dancing when they were young or at least younger than they are now. They think that they may have missed the opportunity and it’s may be too late for them to join in.
Since I’ve been teaching adults to dance for many years, let me tell you that you are most likely wrong thinking that you cannot start dancing above a certain age. I probably would not advise adults to start break dancing all of a sudden, because of the potential injuries. But it is definitely safe to join belly dance classes or social dances like tango and bachata at any age.
Actually you may be surprised how many dance styles are out there that you can explore as an adult: kizomba, salsa, swing, merengue and many more. In fact they are not only safe and easy, they are also quite beneficial for your health. This is why we encourage you to take a closer look at the full list of dance benefits and the infographic that comes with it.
